Canadian Law..., Dumbing Down..., Canada-Quebec..., IQ Tests..., Israel...

Re: Canadian Law

Hi, William!
Thought you might be able to help me with some information.

I was told that there is a law in Canada that makes it illegal to advocate the legalization of drugs. Is this true? If so, is it in just one province or the whole country? Could you tell me any details about it that you know?

If this is NOT true, did there used to be such a law? Thank you very much for any help you can give me on this.

Hope all is well with you. Please keep in touch.

Best regards,

Re: How Much of Canada to Quebec? (March 96 issue)

Thanks for putting your provocative magazine on the net.

You are wrong about most everything in the HOW MUCH OF CANADA TO QUEBEC? essay, however. The northern half of Quebec will be trimmed off to join to the Inuit "nation." and the southern English regions near Montreal will also slice off to join Ontario, i suppose. France will not exert any influence -the US Monroe doctrine will be activated once again and France told to butt out.

Just my opinion.

Why do you put Inuit 'nation' in quotations? WM

Re: What Do IQ Tests Really Show? (April 96 issue)

William,
Interesting thoughts on intelligence.

I am a grad student writing a paper on intelligence testing. Do you have anything else, or some great leads on some periodicals on the subject? Thanks.

Paul -- You can address this question to Dr. Ron Hoeflin, PO Box 539,New York, NY 10101. He is one of the leading authorities on intelligence and author of several IQ tests. He publishes two small magazines, 'In-Genius' and 'Oath.' I advise you to enclose a stamped self addressed envelope with your letter to him. WM

Re: "Territories for Life" (March 96 issue)

Sir,
I don't how much you could have mis-stated the economic impact of Israel for herself and her neighbors as well as nations outside that sphere. The fact is her technological capabilities have been sought after by nations around the world, and numerous Arab nations are working with Israel on a lot of mutually profitable investments despite the public appearance of sustained enmity. The idea of giving over disputed territories to Arabs would be humorous if it did not fly in the face of logic and security. Can you imagine an America that would have turned over some of the original colonies to the British to keep peace? I doubt that.

What you should have addressed is the undercurrent of racist anti-semitism fostered by groups cloaking themselves in religious titles whose actions do not reflect any more Christianity than the kind embraced by Hitler who made up his own.

The quote of some isolated Polish politician did little to bolster the rest of your thesis.

There is no comparison between the times when America fought England for its independence and the present. In those days there was no such thing as global politics, global strategy, global economics. Everybody was on their own. And today's world is a much smaller world. England didn't really struggle too much to keep America. They knew when to stop.

Netanyahu and his government confront the Islamic world, America, European Union and practically the rest of the world. Nobody with common sense could believe that this kind of war can be won by Israel. The odds that the Arab world and the rest of the world will be worn down before Israel are, in the best of cases, unrealistic. In my opinion, time works against Netanyahu and Israel must be very careful not to cross the threshold of irreversibility. WM
