Serbia -- Who? (2/06)
Those who voted for the "European" Tadic will not obtain Europe's recognition or respect. They just brush away a small irritating bug -- "Serbian rebels" -- from Europe's view. The EU does what it wants where it wants only because it doesn't see any obstacles. Serbia "good" or "bad" doesn't exist for them. A society has nothing to win by submitting except to become, or continue to be, a focus for contempt.
Total Ignorance of Politics and Psychology (1/28)
War for war – yes. Starvation for war – no. After all, bullets and bombs fall blindly while collective starvation is very precise in its targets. It has all the ugly symptoms of collective revenge over the defenceless. Did the Israelis really believe that, by starving them slowly, the Palestinians would become anti-Hamas and pro-Israel? During the civil war, Franquist planes dropped bread to starving Barcelona. As a result, Barcelona opened its gates to the Franquist army. In war, everybody acts with severity: brutal blows for blows. Politics should be more subtle and the warring parties shouldn’t forget that psychology exists for a reason. The only solution for the Israelis is to give economic and political freedom to the Gazans. This is the only way to improve Israel’s general situation in its war with Palestinians.
Cosmetic (1/18)
Stephane Dion corrected his statement about Nato intervention in Pakistan saying that he meant a diplomatic, not military solution. Nato has no reputation as a diplomatic institution. It is rather the steel fist of West’s warlords. I believe his correction was purely cosmetic.
Is the NDP the Only Remaining Party of Peace? (1/17)
Stephane Dion, in a change of heart, declared that the only way to fight the Taliban is through Pakistan and if necessary, Nato should take action. So, Stephane Dion wants to start intercontinental war to an extent where Bush hesitates. And, in the name of what? What business do Nato and the USA have in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq?
