Armenians next Serbs? ...,
Nato and Russia ...,
Humanitarian Bombs ...
When I lived in Prague several years ago, RFE/RL spent most of their energy in attacking the Serbs.
Nowadays they are mostly talking about Kavkaz
But the only demon they have is Russia which is too big.
However, I have lately noticed something interesting: they seem to imply that Armenians are better off in "multicultural " countries like Turkey and Georgia than in Armenia.
So maybe Armenians are the next Serbs.

There is a lot of this these days. On my campus, the liberal academics staged a "dialog", which was effectively an apologia for the three empires: Roman, Ottoman, Austrian.

The bombs are not falling but Yugoslavia is cornered with a gun pushed against its temple and the trigger can be pulled anytime. Unity before all is the absolute requirement in wartime.

Senators Lautenburg and Kay Hutchinson were interviewed on CNN today from Macedonian refugee camp. Neither of them had a little Albanian refugee child under their arm. Where were their PR people who allowed this to happen. All the other politicians have little refugee children under their arms. How can these 2 people be trusted if they don't love the little kids enough to hold them while on live TV.
How many empty seats on the senators' plane, and how many refugees did they bring back to US ? How many members of press were on the senators' plane? How much did this trip cost tax-payers ?
How about we use the rules of engagement developed for 'The War on Drugs' against corporate greed and secrecy. How about a No-Knock search of a few defense contractors and 'public' utilities and PAC headquarters. They bombed the Chinese Embassy with a $2 Billion bomber and satellite guided bombs and said whoops, old map. The have a F16 alledgedly bombing refugees with no film left in the camera. Two hours of tape, 5 hour mission, no one asks questions, and CNN goes to commercial and never goes back to briefing. Do they tape the f'n takeoff and landings and the flight while holding for targeting calls ??? Get real you guys. The Marine in the EA6B/ski lift incident got 6 months for destroying evidence in the deaths of many Italian citizens. This is the same attitude exhibited by our government during the Iran/Contra thing ... remember Colonel Oli North and King George "Ohhh...just call me Poppy the 2nd" Bush. Have you forgotten who those guys were in bed with ??? How about we do a no-knock search on Bush Family Properties and corporate holdings (including the Texas Rangers ballclub). God save the King. Excuse me while I puke.
Suggestion ...
Sentence American Airlines to fly all the refugees to host countries ... no charge to tax payers. Better yet, AA should forfeit all assets before the secret trial. Arrest all corporate officials. We can tape their conversations with their lawyers. Stockholders of AA can just bite the bullet. AA will become the New American Airline, owned by the people and doing the work of the people ... like flying sick kids and their families to the good hospitals that are out of the reach of a common man. Like flying honor students, instead of pro-athletes, to Disneyland. Put lawyers in charge of the new AA and all profits go to equalizing justice in America. Public defenders will be paid the same as 'commercial' defense attorneys hired by the richest defendant in that court's history.
It ain't the guns, stupid. It ain't the laws, stupid. It ain't the overt economy, stupid. It's the fact that America has forgotten that J Edgar Hoover was a paranoid cross dresser that kept files on everyone, especially politicians and public officials. It's the fact that everyonne has forgotten how our FBI/domestic intelligence organizations used those files to blackmail and sabotage people. It's the fact that everyone has forgotten about all the explosives experts that agree that a 4000 lb ANFO bomb could not have done that much damage to the OKC building. It's the fact that everyone has forgotten about the eye-witnesses who saw the 'bomb squad' at the bombing site some 2-3 hours before the explosion. It's about the fact that the BATF had 'prior warning. It's about the fact that BATF was storing explosives in a building that housed a childcare center. It's about the fact that Mass Media has allowed these questions to go unanswered. Should Mass Media cover these things as closely as they covered Monica Lewinski and the new Star Wars movie?
It's the image portrayed to the public by Mass Media, stupid. It's the headlines, stupid. And that's all it will be until we (we means all of us as private/corporate/co-mingled citizens) admit it. Once we all admit it, we will be able to concentrate on finding a way out of this mess. Until then, we will continue to waste our energies on damage control and plausible deniability. Our grandkids deserve better.
Do any American PR firms work for any of the Israeli candidates ? Do any American PR/Madison Avenue/Campaign Advisor firms work for any other foreign politicians, foreign governments, foreign government agencies, foreign 'royal' families (not to be confused with the American royal family/families), or foreign corporations ? Are these things public knowledge ? Are there 'laws' making these relationships public knowledge ? Should there be mandatory disclosure covering relationships such as these ? Is there a statute of limitations on treason, bribery, concealment of evidence adverse to National Security/National Interests? If a government official was found guilty of bribery or concealing evidence of National Interest, would he get off scot-free like Clinton, or would he get the book thrown at him and be sentenced to 6 months like the Marine aviator who destroyed evidence.
Don't take this wrong as I will not advocate violence as an answer to a non-life threatening situation, but ... No wonder the 2 'Trenchcoat Mafia'/(remember the witch trials) members killed themselves after tormenting and killing those kids and then realizing they were surrounded. Trenchcoats didn't kill those kids. Guns didn't kill those kids. The internet didn't kill those kids. Tools and decorations do not kill kids. The reason I even bring this up ...
If no one is charged in this crime, will the investigation ever be made public ? How does the scale of this investigation compare to the scale of OKC bombing investigation ? What were occupation/history of those 2 boys' families ? I seem to remember that both boys' fathers were retired miltary, but have not heard mention of this since the first or second day of the coverage. I wonder it would be forgotten if those families had been involved in a 'Militia' or a nazi organization?
Last question .... would a corporate/private security force be considered a 'militia' ?
