Westerners are against Assad. Russia and China seem to support him. Why? In Syria, Assad is supported mainly by the military – who is against Assad in Syria? Hopefully, Democrats. Assad seems to be a lonely dictator against religious extremists and against Democracy. Who is Assad? He makes me think of Gaddafi, Mubarak and Saddam Hussein. Religious or not, a dictator remains a dictator.
