After bin Laden? (5/02)
All those who cheer the death of Osama bin Laden should not forget that as long as there is no peace between Israel and the Arab/Muslim world, the victory over Bin Laden remains purely cosmetic. Now Israel and the world need a new Rabin to ignite a magic spell of mutual trust. If the world is annoyed by terrorism, for Israel it is a vicious, incurable sickness. The incorrigible optimists can trust fate, God, you name it. The truth may appear when least expected. The visionaries, politicians, must understand that there is no other solution but peace. The partisans of peace must be more categorical, using their power for peace. The military gains achieved to now could, more or less, fool power holders and public opinion but the first grand-scale economic crisis will open the blindest eyes.
