Ode to Blunder and Thunder ..., Mother's Day ...
Ode To Blunder and Thunder
Oh tell me why I made a blunder
to receive a thunder!
Oh tell me how to surrender to a blunder and a thunder!
Oh tell me how to avoid a blunder
And not receive a thunder!
I know not a solution
or do you have a dissolution
To evade a thunder
And evade a blunder!
Many years have gone by
With-out a thunder or a blunder
One knows not when a blunder may cause thunder.........

A bouquet of tulips erect with closed buds on long stalks sneaked on to my office desk. I could not figure out where this came from. Shortly, a pharmaceutical representative who brought some breakfast goodies for this day appeared and commented on the beauty of the tulips. I concluded it was his way of appreciation on this special day.
Two days later, I receive a call from my daughter to confirm if had received the bunch of tulips since I had not acknowledged her gift. I was filled with joy to finally know the source. I made it a point to now observe the fully bloomed tulips more closely. It seemed as though each flower rich in color with radiating beauty greeted me with a smile.
I felt one Mother's Day extended into several days.
Now the flowers are droopy and I have to tuck them away but this memory will last forever.
