The Karla Homolka Case -- Steven Williams vs the Judicial System (12/19)

Clemenceau said that war is too serious a matter to leave to the military. We can paraphrase: Justice is too serious a matter to leave only to the experts.The writer Steven Williams is charged with publishing graphic material that, because of its horror, may be too painful for the families and harmful the dignity of the victims. Yes, the material may attract unhealthy curiosity, but limiting access to a handful of authorised experts interferes with the transmission of information to the public, diluting the scope of the case and ending, perhaps, in misjudgment. After all, the experts are merely human. Allowing more visibility and more opinions, right or wrong, in the debate may complicate, perhaps, but also enrich the whole picture and give more weight to the evidence. Therefore, families: with immense regret and sympathy, because nothing can bring back your dear ones, don't protect your feelings at the expense of information. Don't obstruct justice by excessively reinforcing the bureaucratic letter of the law.

Spoiled and Rich -- Amateurs in Wargames (12/09)

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld met in Kuwait with Iraq-bound American troops. When a soldier complained that they are ill-equipped and have to improvise armor for their vehicles, Rumsfeld replied, "You go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you might want or wish to have at a later time" and; "all the armor in the world" may not save you from a roadside bomb.

While Bush pampers with billions the BMD project in which push-button 'fighters' will stay thousands of miles away from danger, the soldiers now on the front lines are treated like gladiators, with total disdain for their lives. General Eisenhower, a professional soldier, cared about the security of his troops. How different from the present playboys leading the American expeditionary wars!

In Light of Past History and Present Politics (12/09)

From time to time I receive texts for the Communication Page accusing Serbs, Greeks, Zionists of collaborating with the Nazis and about Croatian, Albanian, Bosnian Muslim resistance to the Nazis. It is not for me to define whether the quoted documents are serious and from serious sources. For instance, we'll never know whether quotes are in context or out of context, and how many persons do the claimants represent -- are they few, a few dozen, or a few hundred? It's easy for a group to declare itself as representative. In turbulent times only the most outstanding survive to enter History. All other groups, true or imaginary, are incidental. They can never claim national, religious, ideological representation. I see no reason to include them on the Communication Page.

I got this information from a Serbian site. Who are "HAMAIR" and "Revava?" Whoever they are they put nails into the coffin of Israeli - Arab hope for peace. They obviously don't care about their neighbours' feelings and they shove their superior attitude of power and contempt down their neighbours' throats. If that isn't a colonial attitude than what is? Those suicidal "Hamair" are digging the Israel's grave.

Why I don't participate in the general follow up on Arafat, Fallujah ...
The political scene is filled with decoys; "Arafat" serves as a decoy to grab Palestinian territory. "Moral values", "WMD", serve as decoys to grab foreign oil. So I just keep waiting until something really new happens.

Warriors take over the Planet (11/03)

A majority, convinced of the invincible US power, have chosen Bush. Any subsequent terrorist acts will provoke a scream for revenge. So, Bush, with the public on his side, will maintain his line. The terrorists will not cede either and the bloody waltz will continue, very much what happened all those years in Sharon's Israel.

The events in Europe show that the NWO and its Vulcans sprout grains there as well. The German idea of a European preventive nuclear blow gains ground. German Right Wing parties are uniting. A European preventive nuclear blow? Against whom? Terrorism has no technological, military, economic epicentre. A preventive nuclear blow may have no other objective than to blow up entire populations under the pretext of fighting terrorism. A Final Solution - eh? We're far far away from the promising, passing-like-a-comet, idea of Global Village and Global Economy. We're too bloodthirsty and not a smart enough species to achieve this.

Ayatollah Bush vs Ayatollah Bin Laden (11/01)

Who would guess that in 21st century the main concern in the US election will be not human but God, and not our planet but Eternal Salvation! Crusade and Jihad have stolen the political stage. Kerry is overpowered by the predominant archaism and instead of giving a warning scream to the nation: "Stop this absurdity!" he remains a follower trying to win a niche for himself among the holy crowd.
