OPEN BOUQUET (November-December)

By William Markiewicz

(As other short items may follow, I've decided to group them together.)

Heros of Preventive Wars (11/18)

Recent polls indicate that Americans are still in favour of preventive wars. It seems that the lesson was not hard enough. In the U.S. case, preventive war is an escape forward into the imaginary danger that ends up provoking the real thing. It's a coward's solution for somebody too strong for his own good.

White Phosphorus Used Against Fallujah (11/16)

After persistent denials, the USA finally had to admit it used the deadly chemical weapon in an area full of civilians. We know this because Italian TV brought EVIDENCE into a war report, replacing the criminal "Advocacy journalism" used elsewhere. We will never know, for instance, what really happened in Yugoslavia, because the smoke screen of "Advocacy journalism" helped to shape the picture of the scapegoat Serbs.

Shiite-NWO Justice for Saddam (11/09)

Two more of Saddam's lawyers have been shot. The only way to ensure relative safety for the defence team would be to transfer the trial to the Hague. Transferring to any other Arab country would be a cosmetic solution.

Israel = Masada? (11/01)

Iran's conservative new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,
said Wednesday that Israel must be "wiped off the map" and
that attacks by Palestinians would destroy it, the ISNA press
agency reported.
****
(10/27) Israel fires missiles at Gaza camp; 7 killed. Leading
Islamic Jihad militant among dead. Sharon vows crackdown a day
after an Islamic Jihad suicide bomber killed five Israelis in
the Israeli town of Hadera. Islamic Jihad said the suicide bombing
was retaliation for Israel's killing of a West Bank leader of the
group earlier in the week.

Has Israel lost momentum for integrating among its neighbours? Those neighbours are part of the immense Islamic World and that speaks for itself. Israeli politicians must be blinded by exaggerated trust in the American Golem.

Why the Leak Charade Missed Me (11/01)

Who lied to whom? The spider was caught in its own web. I was never interested in Courtiers' intrigues therefore the hottest topic of "fifteen minutes of noise" escaped my attention. We know who is in charge. We know their objectives. All the rest is their little bath in the chaos.

Still, let's rejoice if this gossipy story starts to shed a little light in the darkness that chronically limits the vision of the political herds.
